I bought a VHS tape off ebay.
Anthony Franciosa voice is similar to Rod Serling's.
Private detective Mark Higbie is hired by Leigh Lockwood after her sister's fiance is brutally murdered. Higbie soon learns that several men have been murdered in the same bizare way. Their chests look like someone took a pair of pickaxes to them, and their bodies have been drained of blood. According to legend, a woman bitten by a spider becomes a spider herself when the moon is full. Could one of the sisters be such a woman?
There are better horror movies and there are worst. I liked it better than Dan Curtis' version of Dracula.

I haven't seen this one in years. What I best rememeber it is that the giant spider has the same Rodan roar, only it was slowed down. I thought it was amusing. They should've gotten Speiga's sounds instead.

I remember reading about it in Leonard Maltin's book (the old edition) back when he used to review TV movies. Then I saw the VHS cover and it had a giant spider, kind of illuminous I think. Knowing my "love" for spiders, I might just let it pass.

I saw this one when it was first broadcast. I may have seen it once more, but it's been years and years. I remember liking it, but it was aired in 1977 so I was only five at the time. I remember thinking the spider was pretty cool, but the child years have a tendency to soften bad special effects.
