a fun, if very predictable werewolf murder mystery. thanks to Jonny Quest, i knew immediately what "loup garou" meant, and it was a pretty easy deduction for me to figure out who the werewolf was.
a small southern town is being terrorized by grisley killings and the local sherriff has to figure out what is going on. he starts figuring it's not wild dogs or a crazy man and then it gets interesting!
had to be filmed on location, the actors sweat!

I just watched this a couple months ago on a $1 DVD (a David Janssen double feature with MOON and THE SWISS CONSPIRACY). It's an enjoyable little film with a good cast. The only other time I saw it was way back in 1972. I was in 11th grade and a buddy and I got a kick out of the " loup garou" term, though we misinterpreted it as " loogaroo". We used to say it to each other when a particular teacher walked by, and then make the sign of the cross with our fingers at her.
