contact 'em, send it back, see if you can get a new copy. it's a pain, but if you like the movie, it's worth it.

I doubt that would work since I have owned the disc for about an year now and they'll probably attribute it to "usual wear and tear".I'll just have to track down another version.I definately want it to be letterboxed though.

Why would you want a copy of that dreadful movie?

Have you tried cleaning the disk? I know I've rented some DVDs that wouldn't play. Sometimes it's an occasional fingerprint, light scratch, etc. I've found that a small amount of Windex on a soft towel works at times. Just remember to clean gently from the inside of the disk outward in sections (never using circular motions), and then use a dry portion of the towel to make sure the disk is completely dry. It's worked for me more than once. If that doesn't help, the damage might be of a more severe nature. I don't know how well those DVD repair kits work, but they could be something else to try too.

Maybe he likes it so it isn't dreadful to him. Is this one of those Hammer horror films I keep hearing about?

Tried cleaning the disk with a damp towel and it didn't work.I think the disc was scratched when I used a crappy dvd player to view it awhile back.I have heard of dvd repairing kits but have also been told that they can sometimes cause problems as well.

Unfortunately, sometimes the only thing you can do is buy another copy. Still, it might be worth contacting them. Sometimes they will replace it even if it's been a while since you bought it.

Its a Hammer horror movie which is the worst I've ever seen. I have it on a DVD with two other movies.

I think I have the Platinum disc, paid about $3 for it at Circuit City about three years ago. I didn't care for it at all. My favorite Drac film with Lee is Dracula Has Risen From the Grave.

I took the disk to a GAME STOP to have it buffed as someone suggested.I was charged two dollars and in the end there was no improvement on the disk.Bye bye two bucks.
