Doctor Who: The Tom Baker Years (1993) 2 VHS tapes
Tom Baker stared in Doctor Who from December 28, 1974 through March 21, 1981, 178 episodes divided into 42 stories.
"The Tom Baker Years" featurers scenes from every Tom Baker story, including the never finished, never aired "Shada", followed by a gray haired Tom Baker's comments. He was sometimes informative, some times funny.
At the end he admitted that not doing "The Five Doctors" was a mistake. He was also very candid about how Doctor Who had both made and destroyed his career. During his seven years as the Doctor everybody knew and adored him but once he left he couldn't rise above the type casting curse.

I wish he had done it, but perhaps they should have waited a little longer? It's a fun story, even without him in it, but it would have been nice to see him interact with the others.

Tom Baker is my favorite Doctor Who. Is the TV Movie from '96 that gosh awful drek they showed on Sci Fi? That movie sucked and sullied the name of Who!

I think, for most Americans, Tom Baker is not only their FIRST Doctor, but he is THE Doctor.
The "Shada" compilation is quite interesting, possibly even more than the completed story might have been because of his bridging sequences.
It's really too bad they couldn't get him for the 20th anniversary story. I would've loved to have seen him with Pertwee and Troughton.
