The combination of Reese Fowler's insanity and deadly superpower captures the audience's main attention, so much so that another aspect gets overlooked. That aspect is Annex-One, the PLANET ITSELF. Annex-One's inordinately intense sunlight necessitates the colonist's use of protective goggles while, ironically, they also serve as the way by which Fowler's bulging eyeballs are conveniently hidden. But a line in the episode's INTRODUCTORY narration cries out for explanation. It says that the daylight is perpetual, that there is NO night! How can that be so? Does it mean that the planet does NOT ROTATE? If so, then what caused it?

You are supposed to guess why, I reckon. Things weren't always explained in detail- you just took it for what it was. I would guess the planet didn't rotate, but was far enough away from the sun to support some kind of life.

You're taking these shows far too seriously.
