i guess this could also be in the dinosaurs or giant monsters part, but it's not really based on the beasts, so i'll put it here.

what a fun movie! they just don't make 'em like this any more. it's basically the Burroughs formula, explorers looking for relics, find a lost civilization and have to escape it. easily one of the best looking giant octopi in movies takes them there.

i wonder if it will ever get put on DVD?

It's fun trying to categorize things that sometimes defy categorization. I loved seeing this on a double-bill with "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" in Hawaii back in 78, that was a heck of a good time. Nice cast too, including Shane Rimmer from "Thunderbirds" among other notables.
