The Atomic Brain (1964) Marjorie Eaton - Hetty March Frank Gerstle - Dr. Otto Frank Frank Fowler - Victor Erika Peters - Nina Rhodes Judy Bamber - Bea Mullins Lisa Lang - Anita Gonzalez Xerxes the cat - himself
A wealthy old woman who wants to keep on living past her natural life span pays for a mad scientist' experiments using radiation to transfer brains so that he can ultimatly transfer her brain into a younger woman's body. Three foreign women are hired as domest servents so that Mrs. March will have more than one body to choose from. The women hired have no families who will ask questions should they disappear.
Helping the widow March is Victor, an aged giggilo who hopes to money out of her.
Dr. Frank keeps a couple of his failed experiments around. A man with an animals brain, howels like a wolf, has lower fangs patrols the grounds like a guard dog. A dead woman brought back to live hangs around the lab. Her brain stem was dead too long so her higher brain functions do not work, she's essentially a zombie. The doctor of course thinks he's working for the benefit of mankind.
Another bad movie that's best watched after midnight and probably more enjoyable after a couple of drinks. Too bad I didn't have any.
The best line in the picture is Xerxes', "meow".
Available in a 3 DVD set titled "Sci Fi Flicks" along with 9 other (better) films.

I just watched this the other night on that same Sci-Fi Flicks set. What a weird movie!! I have to admit that i did enjoy it's hokey action and acting. The girl that's supposed to be british kept sounding like she was from the American South! The other girls "accents" were also quite bad, but that just added to the fun really. The girl with the cat's brain was definitely the highlight! It is also known as MONSTROSITY and originally hit the drive-ins on a double bill with the much superior film DESTINATION INNER SPACE.
