this is the theatrical version, ran 125 minutes. long minutes. i remember how excited people were for this series, and i watched it as much as possible, but didn't remember too much. after watching this DVD, i can see why.
it's ALL over the place. you can tell it was a tv show. this was like two episodes strung together. they should have spent a little more time on getting to the treaty, but they just started with the Cylons attacking and went from there.
the effects are quite nice, of course, but it's SO close to Star Wars, you can see the influence easily. it's NOT original at all, either. the actors are pretty engaging, but could have used a better script. Noah Hathaway is not good at all, but he got better, so i blame the script again.
worth a look, but overall, not a great series. fun, in some parts, but that's about it. still, more enjoyable than the new series, since there's someone to root FOR in this one.

I think it was a fun series. Somebody should sue over that remake garbage.

The Cylons suck ass in the new series, I refuse to watch it for that reason alone.
