Man of La Mancha is one of my favorite musicals. (I just started my tape of the soundtrack.)
As for giant heroes (kyodai) there are many others you could have included for example:
Goldar from P-Production's Magma Taishi aka Space Giants, which predated Ultraman by a week.
Supekutoruman [Spectreman] another P-Productions series.
Mirrorman by Tsuburaya Productions (Ultraman people). The series bores me put somebody probably likes him.
Faiyâman [Fireman] a Tsuburaya series I think is much better than Ultraman.
Janbôgu Êsu [Jumborg Ace] jet another Tsuburaya character.

I think I was gonna put in more, but hit the button before I was done. New board and all. Mirrorman is kind of boring, at least the first half. I do like Fireman a lot, and Spectreman of course.

MIRRORMAN is not boring if you understand Japanese! That's why the series is still so popular in Japan (released twice on laserdisc and a new series is in pre-production). But, I think that one of my favorites is THUNDER MASK, because the show is so darned violent! But, if I had to pick an all-time favorite giant superhero, besides the original Ultraman, it would be... Mirrorman -- the design is so cool, I really dig his light-based weapons, and I love the fact that he cannot fly and has to learn his powers as the show progresses. SPECTREMAN is just the wackiest show ever made and the design of the hero is unique and cool. Dr. Gori rocks and Karas rolls (especially in his poncho, floppy hat and shades)! Zone Fighter was a favorite from the first time I bought a book all about the series back in 1974 -- just a killer design and great powers. Heck, I haven't watched any episodes of ZONE in a while (been too busy working on KIKAIDA and KAMEN RIDER V3 for JN Productions and buying Toei Hero DVDs)... Time to bust them out! "Ginga Janppu!"

I went with Zone Fighter as well, though several of those are great choices. I have a soft spot in my heart for that series, and I think the first episode (which many people avoid, 'cause no Godzilla) is amazing.

Mirrorman was pretty cool, like Silver Mask it has a very distinctive atmosphere that makes it feel really different from everything else.
I'd like to vote for Rider 1, when he turns giant in "Ultraman vs. Kamen Rider"!

Dude, is it just me, or is that Smiley looking up Apache's knickers, and then laughing?

I've never seen any of those, but - I've seen stills of Zone Fighter...with Godzilla, so I'd probably choose him.
Where's Giant Robot?

Well, they are taped in EP speed, along with a bunch of other stuff, so you may not want 'em! I think Robo would be in his own poll, like with Red and Mach Barons, 1-7, etc.

I had to go with Silver Kamen...That show just really appeals to me. If it was one the list, I of course would've voted for Fireman!!! The fights were fast, furious and kinetic, a very cool hero design, and the monsters were just way out! I also really like that jules vern style sub the science patrol uses!
