Technically some of the footage used in Power Rangers is older than you, doofus. Damn Deka, could you be any more dense?

What an ignorant, arrogant and frightened comment is that, Micheal/DekaRed? Are you afraid of things that came before you? What a bizarre and strange stance -- actually, pretty myopic and sad. Pathetic is the word, really. If you don't want to watch anything that's older than you -- you shouldn't watch movies or television, because they were invented WAY before you were born. I guess you should stop eating food, because it's been around longer than you, as well as anything made with water. You've gotta stop breathing, too -- air has been around longer than your whole family line. And so on, and so on... Face it, you're doomed. Those who fail to know the past, are just dumbasses. No matter how you slice it, KIKAIDA is going to be remembered a lot longer than the PR shows you grew up with -- KIKAIDA is still at the forefront of fans minds, 32 years after it first premiered in Japan. As for PR... PR1 - 5 is a souless mess, and only in the last couple of years, has PR started to get close to the drama and pathos of the original series. As the other posters stated without KIKAIDA, there would be no PR -- the Sentai Series was only developed because of the success of earlier shows such as KAMEN RIDER and KIKAIDA. Ishimori and Hirayama took the next step and created a superhero team with GORANGER. JAKQ was the follow-up, but failed (it was too talky with few action scenes). So, the series was dead in the water. But, Toei's SPIDER-MAN (1978) changed that, when the follow-up became BATTLE FEVER J (co-produced by Marvel Comics Group), and became the foundation for the Super Sentai series. Based on the success of BATTLE FEVER, MCG and Toei produced ELECTRONIC TASK FORCE: DENZIMAN (1980), which is where all of the Super Sentai parameters for the 1980s were set in stone. The rest, as they say, is history -- something that is worthy of paying attention to, and having respect for. Have a Harpy Day! **** In advance to any asenine comments you might make in retalliation, I say "Bite me, fanboy!"

Why did we ban Michael? Don't know. Just felt like it. Actually, we discuss this in-depth in the general talk forum. He's the same charming chap who went by "VulPanther" (among other handles) on the old board. I'm doing further research on him today.

vulpanther, dekared, michael, whatevr, I'm just glad he's gone, can't beleive someone that disprespectful of people and the whole genre in general could still get here! Talk about not having life! I wish no ill on anyone, but I do believe we are better off without his sort. Megs, glad you got your photo! August, always nice to know history, or else we're doomed to repeat it, but in this case, it might not be so bad, if we could get shows with the freshness and inventiveness, and rich plots of Kikaida, KR, ETC! "Please return the egg!"-Shobijin
