If you're one of the vets of the OWARI Message Board (http://p079.ezboard.com/bowari/), you'll remember what Tuesday meant in 2003. Today, it means that again.
The new www.returnofjetman.com is now officially open for business. This is much more than just a simple move to a new domain. Here's what you'll find on the new home of the fanfiction series by Christopher Elam and Lewis Smith.
*A brand new title page.
*All 14 ROJ stories, with only extremely minor formatting adjustments. Well, with one exception. I'll discuss that another day.
*A redesigned "Gallery" page which now features all of the ROJ character portraits done by Lewis from 2001-2004, including the all-new Grey Shrike. Each character has an individual profile page which includes access to either a larger version of their picture or a copy of the original lineart (where available). The photomanipulations pages have also been redesigned.
*A new "About Return of Jetman" page which makes an attempt to explain the whole silly thing. This page features the first ever unretouched photo of me posted on the Internet (oooh, exciting!).
*A revamped "Links" page. The best way to get on here is to either have a site I can really get behind or link back to either ROJ or OWARI (http://home.centurytel.net/owari/) . If you have both, that's a grand slam.
*A "Contact" page for feedback. Wow, it's almost like a real website now.
*The new "DX" page, which is the home for all of the extras on the site. Featured there right now are a GMB/ROJ promo page, the retooled section on the original ROJ from 1995-1999 (this was the centerpiece of the old DX page on my Geocities site), the Commissions & Fanart section, and my whimsical Japanese page.
What can you expect for the future of this site? Well, it will feature the GMB/ROJ story when it is completed. It will also have new versions of the notes and history pieces which were originally written for the old board. There is no set timetable on when any of these will be posted. I'm going to take a break from the site for a little while to recharge my batteries and then I am going to work on overhauling the OWARI site. Updates will appear when the new stuff goes up.
