I got an e-mail earlier from Generation Kikaida regarding their "30 th Anniversary of Kikaida in Hawaii" and hidden at the bottom was the notice that this volume will go on sale OCTOBER 19th.
It will include the 3-D movie.

I just checked my email, I received the same message. I hope the bonus material includes the Kikaida Brothers Live and other live appearances.

just finished this volume- this show is really great and has a supoib ending. it holds up really well. i didn't remember a lot of what happened, at least not in the order it happened. anyway, it's a great set of DVDs.

one of the coolest things about this series is that things never quite happen as you think they will. the battle between Hakaida and Kikaida to the death? doesn't go off as planned. the death of Prof. Gill? nope, not what you'd think would happen.
it's really well written that way.

That's why its a classic! Too bad they screwed up on the story structure for KIKAIDA 01 -- the show starts off so strong and then falls apart in the middle, and then redeems itself with the introduction of Bijinda. I would have rather had the Hakaida Squad running around large and in charge a lot longer -- Big Shadow is rather limp villain and whimping out Hakaida was reprehensible.

I think the new Hakaida is just what one should expect with Professor Gill's brain in his head.

i thought so as well- had it been Saburo Hakaida, it would have been a bit harder to take. but Gill was kind of a wuss to begin with, anyway, so having Gill-Hakaida act the way he did, well, it made sense to me. i really enjoy 01, but it seemed like they didn't quite have the sense of where they wanted it to go overall.

I think Gill Hakaida is fine, until we get him kowtowing to Big Shadow -- Gill would have rather died! Look at the difference between Gill's ghost in some of the early episodes and the way Gill Hakaida behaves in the first and last halves of the series -- it's jarring.
