Non-Ultraman Kyodai

Who are you favorite non-Ultraman Kyodai (Gaint Heroes)? Here are mine:



Faiyâman [Fireman] (1973, Tsuburaya Productions)
Jumborg Ace & Jumborg 9 from Jambôgu Êsu (1973, Tsuburaya Productions)
Zone Fighter from Ryusei Ningen Zôn (1973, Toho)
Megaloman (1979, Toho)

Fireman and Megaloman use fire based weaponry, Megaloman shooting fire from his long white hair. Jumborg Ace and Jumborg 9 are gaint robots and have lots of energy based weapons. Zone Fighter uses mostly Meteor Missile Might (missile launching twin bracelets) and Meteor Proton Beam to kill the giant monsters. He's occasionally assissted by his friend Gojira (Godzilla).

I think its too bad that Tsuburaya doesn't do any giant heroes that are not Ultraman anymore.

i wonder who i will pick! i like 'em all, to some extent. you left out Iga's fave, Iron King, as well as Silver Kamen and Spectreman (and i'm probably forgetting one or two as well). i gotta admit i like Fireman a lot, but for the sheer action i like Megaloman and Zone Fighter.

You can see that there were once other companies producing Tokusatsu series besides Tsuburaya, Toho and Toei. Odd that only the three T's survived.
