the clips on Japan Hero from the latest episode look pretty cool. i'm not sure what's going on, but the musical motiffe has me intrigued. cartoony cg monsters are kind of interesting as well, definately unusual for this kind of series.
i can only hope the characters are likable. do they ride motorcycles at all? the Rider designs are pretty cool also, much better looking that the last couple series.
any other thoughts?

I've just seen the first 4 or 5 episodes and a lot of rider fans seem to not be getting into it, but to me personally I like it a lot. It's VERY different, even for these new rider shows. You just have to switch gears and know they are *experimenting*.
The effects in some spots are really awful, verging on Terry Gilliam/Monty Python cut out animation and some of the 1st form kaijin look really bad (cheap) too. But the overall ambience is pretty cool and fun.
Hibiki himself is a really cool, more old-style rider character, full of mystery and machismo. No angst filled teen wah wahing about stuff, just a tough (but nice) guy getting his stuff done. Haven't seen any newer episodes yet with the other riders, outside of the trumpet guy's first appearance. So it's hard to say just yet but my initial thought is just that I'm a little let down that it's not just about Hibiki, since he is a very cool character.

I like it enough to keep watching, but not as much as last year's Kamen Rider Blade.
Ibuki has a motorcycle, and supposedly the others (or the main ones) will all be getting their own at some point.
I do like that so far, the Riders are all on the same side, and seem to get along pretty well.

i've only seen clips here and there- the new guys with the guitar seem cool as well, although the suits could look a little different (to help tell them apart).

I have some suspects that these Riders are divide by instruments sounds groups: string, drum and breath. Hibiki [drum], Ibuki [Breath], Todoroki [string],...
Well, somebody told me a few months, that this serie have a lot of the concepts of the Ishinomori "Kamen Rider" hero. The guy who i talked, read the kamen rider manga and said that. I don't know if you read the riders manga. The question is: Despite to see many people criticize the new Riders and his clothes, saying people who work to Toei Company[producers, creators, blah-blah-blah] have the total gilt of that sobrenatural and unacceptable changes (rsrsrsrsr), so why, in the open series of Hibiki, is write "To Ishinomori's whises" or something like that? (i saw that in the TV-N subs)

just watched the movie HIBIKI AND THE 7 RIDERS (well, something like that). it's a lot of fun, and plenty of action. there's even a ton of minions that show up for our Riders to battle!
of course, the giant water dragon that is the main villain looks cg cartoony bad, i'll tell you what. Toei has proven it can make good monster suits, why would they use this? it doesn't look very good, but at least it works for the story.
the story? well, it's about Asamu reading a story about the Seven Oni in the Sengoku period that help defeat Makamo spirits. it moves back and forth from present time and back, but it all works out.
i like it.

I quite enjoyed the movie too. The CGI dragon was cool but looked like it came from a video game, that's how bad the CGI was! The action was excellent and I quite liked Hibiki's personality-very much like the classic Riders, not a pretty boy! i still wish Toei would either use the original Riders again or make a show that was more similar to them, like Tsuburaya has done with Ultraman Max and Ultraman Mebius.
