Like I said in generationkikaida, the idea sounds horrible. So now the Japanese have to resort to remakes like Hollywood.

Looks cool to me! I'm excited about it. And if Fujioka & Sasaki have approved, who cares what anyone else says? ;D

i think it LOOKS cool, but if it something dull like Casshaan, pretty to look at but oh so pretentious i'd probably pass.
what i think would be cool would be if it was just some adventure that they have, although it sounds like Nigo will start out as a Shocker assassin. i'd like it to be lots of cool none cg enhanced action, much like the original series, plus some cool monsters and henchmen.
we will see. i hope they pass on having an origin, as most people in Japan will know what the Riders origins are, i would think.
here's hoping it's good and fun!

Well, in the Ishinomori manga, Rider 2 started out as one of the 12 shocker-controlled Riders, and turns good only after he suffers a blow to the head (to undo the evil brain surgery, I guess.)
Also in the manga, Hongo dies, but his brain is preserved in a jar and he communicates with Ichimonji telepathically (I kid you not). He eventually comes back in an android body, ala Hakaider. I'm kinda glad this never made it to the TV series, and I hope that if it has to be in the movie, it will be done in a non-cheesy manner.
And origin though, I'd like to see that- the operation scene could be really cool the way I picture it.

Think they'll stick with "Lets Go! Rider Kick" as the theme song. And if they do who will sing it?

such a great song. you'd think they'd use it, and one of the original versions for instant audience identification.
i hope it strikes the right balance of fun and drama- there can be some inner conflict, since Nigo is not quite the same as the show. we can only hope it's not a bunch of them talking about how awful it is to be a cyborg and then five minutes of a cartoon cg battle at the end.
this really does have a lot to live up to.

Could be cool a lot! So the story about "all kamen riders are good" in the past, wasn't right, right? Amazing! I didn't know that. Dammit about my unknown japanese language! Somebody could explain that a little more? ;D

yesh, what he said. when i get home and get back to cable modem i'll be sure to take a peak at that. i'm hoping this is more of an "untold" adventure than any kind of remake. that makes more sense to me, but what do i know?
exactly!
