Okay, I need to talk to the experts, and you people are the experts. I have some vinyl dolls from the 70's I'm trying to get sold. I sold a vinyl Kikaida doll from 1975 a long time back for like $85 or something like that. It was in decent shape. A week later I saw someone else sell a really beaten up version of the same doll, with one arm missing and the other arm cracked in half, and it sold for nearly 3 times what mine sold for! I thought to myself, "I really have no idea what I'm doing here! I don't know my own merchandise!" I don't want to underestimate, or overestimate, the possible value of my little dolls, and I thought, well, I gotta ask the serious people.
Question 1: I have these little Himitsu Sentai Gorenja (Go Rangers) dolls--they're small, about 5 inches tall. But I have all five of them, including the pinkie girl ranger with the heart face I used to love love love so much. Yep, they're all there--a little scuffed, somewhat damaged in the paint department, but otherwise intact. Are these sought after at all? Are there websites with people I could bug about my upcoming Ebay sale?
Question 2: Does anyone care about DENJIN ZABOGA? I have a 12" doll of him, but I notice no Zaboga listings on Ebay. Have people forgotten about him or is he just rare or is he lame or something?
Question 3: Are there verifiable historical facts pertaining to these two TV shows that I can include in my ad to illustrate how special and significant these characters are? Like "The GoRangers were the first non-metallic sentai group ever created" or "Zaboga was technically the first heroic robot who traveled to Earth from another galaxy and he is therefore basically a robot equivalent of Superman" or some such stuffy nonsense? (I just made those up as examples; as you can see I know basically nothing about the history of these shows.)
These toys are all at least 30 years old. 30 years old!
Thanking everyone in advance for any help you may be able to give me here.
