i'm really enjoying this set.
01 is solar powered, much like one of my favorite comic book heroes, The Vision (created 1968) a solar powered android (or synthozoid, if you will).
i wonder what Kikaida was powered by?

just finished episode #32. i'm really glad they didn't copy the format of Kikaida blatantly. Bijinda is a good addition to the storyline, since she becomes the flawed android Kikaida was in the previous series. good stuff here!

OK, who actually made or built Waruda? Big Shadow hires him to kill 01, like Waruda is a well known assassin. it's not explained, is it?

No. His origin is shrouded in mystery...

Had to be a homicidal maniac who likes children and was afraid of dogs. Frightening to know that there was a third wealthy mad man (after Professor Gill and "Big Shadow") lose in Japan. Whoever it was must have been from a family of former samurai. Or maybe just a fan of period films.

I like that we don't actually know where he's from. a little mystery is always a good thing. I am preparing (i.e. re-writing) an episode guide of Kikaida 01 now, so am revisiting some of the episodes as well. really like this show a lot.Attachments:
