Fukuoka-born Composer Go Misawa passed away on the morning of November 20th in a hospital near Palm Springs, California. He was 79. According to his wishes, no funeral service was held.
Originally from Fukuoka, Misawa composed music for several anime series, including MOONLIGHT MASK (aired in Latin America as "Captain Centella"), DEVILMAN, and AIM FOR THE ACE!, as well as the tokusatsu series ZONE FIGHTER in the early 1970s, and dramas such as ATTENTION PLEASE and THE SIGN IS V (both the 1969 and 1973 versions as well as Toho's 1970 feature film).
In 1976, Misawa moved to the U.S., where he continued his music career, dubbed films and pursued acting.

He also wrote music for Fireman.
I shall listen to music from Fireman and Ryuusei Ningen Zoon (no such series as Zone Fighter) today.

Stuart, the song you mention from FIREMAN is "Harukana Aoi Chitei-ni" which was, of course, sung by Shimon Masato. Misawa will be remembered for his memorable contributions to television as well as his dozens and dozens of pop songs.
(I am appalled, Stuart, because this is not the proper thread to start debates. Derailing this thread to suit your own agenda is regrettable, because it shows absolutely no respect for Misawa. But, with that being said, Toho's official English title for "Ryùsei Ningen Zòn" is indeed ZONE FIGHTER. Now, if you'd like to debate this stone cold fact, call Toho's Los Angeles offices and talk to them: (310) 277-1081. If you wish to continue with your "August Ragone Witch Hunt," start another thread and have some respect for the dead, Stuart.)
