The teaser uses clips from the film depicting various scenes seen in some of the Batman comics with dialogue provided by the ator[don't know the guy]but nothing that leads you to believe what it is until the end...
They show a boy falling into a hole[from a camera angle inside the hole looking up],that same boy at a funeral[the dialogue makes mention of his parents' deaths]a man approaching a tibetan temple and opening the large doors[this scene took place in an issue of BATMAN shortly after Jason Todd's {Second Robin} death where Batman fights ninjas trained by the same martial arts master as he was]a closeup of the actor playing Bruce Wayne, and finally of Batman in the cave spreading his cape and then the bat insignia and the title BATMAN BEGINS,for a summer 2005 release.STAR WARS EPISODE THREE is gonna get some serious competition.

I'm so over Batman- think it will have ANY sense of fun to it, or be all "dark and gritty" completely?

I don't think it will be as wannabe goth as the more recent films, but I don't expect to see and pows and bams flashing on the screen either. I think it will be more like the other films, just in a more straight forward manner.

My understanding is the film will NOT have any of the classic villains, which might be a good thing considering the lousy jobs Arnold,Jim Carrey, and Uma Thurman did in their roles. The film will have Batman dealing with more realistic scenarios, having him start his career in a Gotham City drowning in political and police corruption.

I'm already gearing up for this movie. A more cloth-like suit, the perfect choice for Batman, (Christian Bale is his name, and he is far more appropriate than Kilmer and lightyears ahead of Clooney.) a very different batmobile, which I think was a great move, a less known but incredably dark villian and a story focusing mroe on Bruce rather than the villians at hand. I can't wait. I've waited for a Batman story that dug in to his character and gave us greater emotion and feelings for him. "Batman Begins" looks to be the one. Chris Nolan knows his stuff here. Christian Bale? Perfect! Now show us a really good and powerful Batman film. Go black.

I have very low expectations- a "realistic" movie about a guy in a cape. Right. A bat-SUV? Ugly. Costume looks adequate. I'll stick with Adam West, thank you very much!

Yep... I pretty much consider myself disinterested in the whole Batman movie franchise thing by this point. I thought the first Batman was good, and Batman Returns was visually great as a Tim Burton film, but ever since it's just been piling crap upon crap. I don't hold out too many hopes for this.
