There is a loooooong thread at the Classic Horror Film Board where members post their recent film viewings. Since I post them there, I thought I should post them here too - so here goes.
MATANGO (AKA: ATTACK OF THE MUSHROOM PEOPLE) (1962) MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM (1933) THE MANSTER (1962)

I so rarely get to see movies these days. Did catch 4 episodes of SPACE PATROL yesterday morning:
THE LIEUTENANT'S REVENGE Seeking revenge against the Space Patrol and Commander Buzz Corry for dismissing him from its ranks, ex-Lt. Graham is hired as a mechanic in the Space Patrol Maintenance Shop. Thus employed he sabotages spaceships causing them to crash, including the Terra IV with Commander Corry aboard. Buzz and Happy trace down the responsible party, but not before he arranges for Carol Carlisle to have an "accident" This has some really excellent camera setups that seem almost impossible to pull off in a realtime, live broadcast television setting.
THE DEADLY RAYGUN A report that ray guns used in the 30th Century have been adapted to fire deadly missiles and are being smuggled into the man-made planet of Terra in large numbers sends Commander Buzzy Corry on the trail of the smugglers. A number of attempts made on his life in the course of the investigation convinces Buzz that he is on the right track. Mediocre but entertaining.
COSMIC DEBRIS WARNING Major Robertson, at Space Control on Earth, receives a report from the Chief Astronomer that a planetoid has exploded nearby and all spaceships in that vicinity should watch for dangerous cosmic debris. Commander Corry, Cadet Happy, and Carol are returning to Terra from Earth when they are hit by a meteor and rendered helpless in space; rapidly losing oxygen, and unable to communicate. Great cliffhanger type situation and nice space walk sequence that is very well executed.
THE THREAT OF THE THORMANOIDSThe Space Patrol is now completely alerted to the sinister threat posed by a secret invasion of aliens from the deep Outer Galaxy. The Thormanoids may already hold important posts in the United Planets because they look exactly like humans, though they are able to walk through walls, and must wear insulators in order to live in a human climate. Commander Corry and Cadet Happy come very near meeting their end beneath the Terra Jet Express when they attempt to capture two of the Thormanoids masquerading as Space Patrol officers. Though a simple process, the effect of walking through walls is expertly executed. The action scenes in the 3rd act are exciting and dramatic.

Whatever you feel like mentioning is fine. I'm always watching episodes from older series (ie: OUTER LIMITS, STAR TREK, DANGER MAN, THE RIFLEMAN, THE HONEYMOONERS, GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, etc) in addition to films, but just find it easier to keep track of movie titles.
Tonight... THE LAND UNKNOWN (1957)

Do you mean the John Phillip Law movie "Von Richthofen and Brown"? There's a new German-made Red Baron movie. Apparently Hollywood isn't the only bastion of changing history to fit the times. Based on the reviews so far, Von Richthofen is portrayed as an agonizing, kinder and gentler butcher of the skies. Also it's supposed to be very long and with only two good dogfights sequences. But the trailer makes it look pretty darn good. www.redbaron-themovie.com/index_en.html

the Germans changing history? say it ain't so!
nope, i mean Red Baron: The Complete Series, the Japanese show about a giant robot. it's great.
i'm watching Kamen Rider V3 right now, episode 11, trying to keep up with Igadevil's reviews of the series. it's also great (which i know, is redundant to say).
i'll be starting Rocky and Bullwinkle disc 2 ere long.

DOCTOR WHO: DESTINY OF THE DALEKS
After assembling the Key to Time and foiling the plans of the Black Guardian, the fourth Doctor attaches a Randomizer to his TARDIS navigation system, because if he does not know where he is going than the Black Guardian can't figure out where he is going. [The Randomizer will eventually be destroyed and the Black Guardian will catch up with the fifth Doctor.]
Romana regenerates into the likeness of Princess Astra. K9 is in pieces as the Doctor who was working on the robot dog.
The TARDIS materializes on planet that seems somehow familiar to the Doctor. He soon learns that it is Skaro, planet of origin for the Daleks.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon-I know many hate Wire Fu, but I thought this was a pretty decent movie and the fight bwteen Zhang Zi Yi and Michelle Yeoh was great.

Watched the first half of "The Last King of Scotland" but went to bed after a while. These films about Africa and its myriad of political/human rights problems just depress me.
