GODZILLA VS BIOLLANTE-Among my favorite films from ANY cycle/series in the franchise,&many thanks to Echo Bridge for their awesome Region 1 DVD release(who'd ever think North American fans would see this one&''G VS MEGALON'' come out on Region 1 DVD/Region A Blu-Ray within months of one another? )

UCHU DAIKAIJU GIRARA-Thanks to Criterion Collection(&Mom,Dad&George Jr.)I got to see the origina Japanese version of THE X FROM OUTER SPACE;love this trippy little film,&Guilala's still one of my all-time favorite monsters...!
GEKITOTSU!AIKIDO aka POWER OF AIKIDO-Finally watched this Toei classic featuring Sonny Chiba&The JAC.I say ''featuring'' because, this time, out Chiba-san relegates himself to a supporting role as an initially antagonistic karateka;younger brother Jiro essays the lead role of Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba. The lovely-to-this-day Etsuko Shiomi appears as the daughter of an Imperial Navy Admiral who becomes one of Ueshiba-sensei's pupils. As one may well expect from a Toei-JAC action flick from the mid-70's,the fight scenes RAWK(as does the soundtrack, since the composer of the memorable music from THE STREETFIGHTER,SISTER STREETFIGHTER&THE EXECUTIONER is responsible for the score here, too.)Recommended!
THE AURORA MONSTERS:THE MODEL CRAZE THAT GRIPPED THE WORLD!-Zacherle,The Cool Ghoul&his sidekick Gorgo The Gargoyle host this look at the history of Aurora Models.Interviews with the sculptors&artists behind all those beloved movie monster model kits,as well as with collectors&garage kit modelers inspired by said kits really make this doc stand out. This also is recommended!

To each his own. I think GvsB is one of the worst. I don't care for any of the later films actually.

I got seasons one and two of The Six Million Dollar Man on DVD. I forgot how cool this show was, though Steve Austin wears an awful lot of leisure suits. Oh well it was the 70's after all.

I had "Six Million Dollar Man" in my Netflix queue but I removed it, maybe I'll put it back.
Finished "M Squad". I'm going to miss that show.

WOOCHI(Pretty cool flick about a medieval Korean Taoist master awakened in the 21st Century)
DRAGON aka WUXIA(Donnie Yen's done it again-his acting ability is quickly catching up with his considerable martial arts prowess.Takeshi Kaneshiro plays a good role in this flick,&what a treat to see Kara Hui YingHung&Jimmy Wang Yu!Let me tell you-once Wang Yu shows up,he OWNS the screen. He&Yen engage in one of the most savage fight finales I've seen...)
FOR Y'UR HEIGHT ONLY(That's NOT a typo-the title's actually spelled that way. This Filipino James Bond parody made soon after the release of FOR YOUR EYES ONLY stars perhaps the most unique lead actor in a martial arts/action flick: a 2'9'' performer named Ernesto de la Cruz whose screen name was Weng Weng[sadly,he died from a fatal heart attack in 1993.]This little dude could FIGHT!He'd studied martial arts since childhood;indeed, among his instructors was none other than Dan Inosanto.)
CHALLENGE OF THE TIGER(Huang KinLung/Bruce Le&Richard Harrison team up in this Interpol caper film. This film is full of killer fight scenes courtesy of Mr. Le&the villains played by Chiang Tao/Kong Do,Bolo Yeung&Hwang JangLee!REALLY dug this one...)
THE ASSASSIN'S BLADE(Newer wu-xia flick starring Charlene Choi with none other than Ti Lung playing her father, though unfortunately he doesn't get to participate in the fight scenes.Far from the worst new-school MA flick I've ever watched;fairly enjoyable,IMO)
BEAUTIFUL SWORDSWOMAN(1969 Taiwanese wu-xia released as part of Crash Cinema's ''Unearthed Treasures'' imprint follows two female assassins going incognito over a number of years to exact vengeance on the miscreants who killed their families. Not up to par with films made by The Shaws during the same period but still entertaining.)

BUNOHAN-The first Malaysian martial arts film I've ever seen,&quite a good one it is although the featured fighting style is Muay Thai rather than silat.
FROM CHINA WITH DEATH-Oddly enough, given the title, this is actually a comedy starring Wu Ma(who also directed)&Henry Yu Young as a pair of petty thieves who get involved in a gold heist with the film's main villain(none other then Shek''Mr. Han''Kin!)WAY cool fight scenes choreographed by Yuen WoPing.
LEGEND OF THE SEVEN MONKS-Yasuaki Kurata&Shinichi Chiba star as Buddhist monks taking on an evil spirit from The Heian Era which wants to do no less than bring about Hell On Earth. To prevent this,Santoku(Kurata)'s disciple sets about recruiting a team of young martial artists who have ties to the seven man squad that Santoku&Genryu(Chiba)had belonged to years earlier. This disciple also has a personal tie to Genryu...

THE HORDE(Action/drama dealing with the dynastic infighting during the waning years of The Golden Horde's rule in Russia.)
CHAMP AGAINST CHAMP(This Dragon Lee vehicle was quite a bit better than I remembered;the action ratcheted up a bit by the presence of Eagle Han&Hwang JangLee.)
ZA KARATE 2&ZA KARATE 3(The two sequels to the Tadashi Yamasmega film better known as ''BRONSON LEE,CHAMPION'' continue the adventures of Yamasmega's epynomous character taking on all who would challenge his position atop the karate world.Look for Bolo Yeung/Yang Sze's appearance in ZK 2 as Dracula Jack...)
COWEB(Liu Xia Jiang stars as a wushu instructor-turned-bodyguard forced into an underground fight ring.Liu Xia is mighty impressive,as is Kane Kosugi as one of the villains.Really enjoyed the fights choreographed by director Hung Yan Yan/Xiong Xin Xin.)
JAK KA LEN(Jeeja Yanin stars as a bike courier duped into delivering drugs.Petchai Wongkamlao/Mum Jokmok costars as her uncle trying to make an honest living by setting up a video shop. Many mixed-to-negative reviews of this one on the Internet, but I liked it just fine.Indeed,Jeeja truly lives up to the English-language title of this flick:THIS GIRL IS BADA$$)
TO KILL WITH INTRIGUE(One of Jackie's films directed by Lo Wei shot in South Korea. The plot is surprisingly involved for a Lo Wei film, the action fairly good for the period&the South Korean landscape livens the procedings up a bit.)
