Wow! Fur Cat is really cool.
BTW, one of our kittens, formally named Scooter and renamed Phoenix, has been re-renamed Scooter again. Go figure. Ya gotta love kittens and kids.
Also, our other kitten (Harly Jr) was named after our cat at the office where I work. Harly Sr is incredible, more dog than cat, and he's made a hit with all his co-workers and most of the visiting clients. Ya gotta love working with a cat - it's the best.

Those little cats that come up here and eat and so on, they totally do whatever they want. I can't resist them. The other day they sort of hung around the door, hesitant about coming inside. They didn't seem interested in the cheap dry cat food I had out. Finally I had to go get a can of moist cat food. The popping sound had them running in. They were waiting for me to ante up.
It was like, "Yeah, MAYBE I'll come inside. But what are you gonna do for me? Huh??"

There was an unusual segment on the television show of RIPLEY'S STRANGE BUT TRUE ODDITIES where a dog had chased a cat so many times that now the cat lives up in a Tree. So now the cat is safe. And so also somebody has to climb up the tree in order to feed the cat. At the time the segment was filmed, the cat had lived up in that tree for three years so far.

Well, only the first cat was real, and that was due to copper contamination in the water. The rest are an April Fools joke.

At first I was going to make this a separate thread because it concerns parrots but decided to post it here because this thread could be considered as a general topic about Pets. Actually I had read about this case a couple of years ago but just the other day a friend was discussing about parrots so it reminded me of this unusual court case as follows.
A parrot was owned by a man whose wife was having an extramarital affair with another man. For those affairs, the man would visit the lady at the married couple's house while the unsuspecting husband was at work. During those visits, the Parrot picked up some of the words spoken by the extramarital pair. Later, when the Husband heard those words from the Parrot, he became suspicious. So the Court case hinges on using the Parrot as evidence. I never heard of the case's outcome but I was wondering whether you folks consider the Parrot as admissible evidence or not.

i have some few years of parrot and macaw experience, and they usually pick up on phrases and sounds they hear a lot. over and over, all the time. Coco, the South African Grey Parrot learned to ring like any phone he heard. i taught him to say "GOdzilla" and "V3!" and "boot to the head" (which he needed- parrot punting, yay!). so i think it could be admissable, but i'm not sure how you would go about it.
