Happy belated birthday David and Dacya! (Sorry for being late - my surgery was on the 11th ) The videos of Dacya are really cute and it was nice seeing her in action. She looks like a great little friend!

She's funny when she runs under the bed. Very much like a cat will behave. They are weird little creatures!

She looks like a really smart little cat. My little hooties are outside right now. When they don't want to leave, I will go over and try to pick them up, and they immediately slump over on the floor to make things difficult for me!

One of our cats, Simba, had been missing for about a week and a half, and I thought he was gone for good. Well he came home 2 weeks ago this Saturday at 6am with something terribly wrong with his left back leg. We got him into the vets and they x-rayed him and found his femur was shattered. It was literally split in half with alot of fragments and other bone pieces. In fact he had a wound on his leg that was probably from the bone poking through his skin. The vet said they'd have to remove his leg entirely. My wife dropped him off at the vets the following Monday morning on her way to work and awhile later the vet doing the surgery called me and said that if it was ok with me, she wanted to try and put his leg back together, and that if it doesn't heal, they will remove his leg at no further charge to us, so there was really nothing to loose. Amazingly, the vet was able to get his leg put back together-it had 5 major breaks and numerous splinters and in fact there was a quarter to half inch gap that will have to grow back. He came through the surgery great and within a day was putting weight on the leg, and eating anything put in his cage (he lost alot of weight while he was gone). He stayed at the vets until the next Saturday when they thought he'd be ok to come home. He has to stay in our dog cage for two weeks to keep him from jumping on or off things, but he's glad to be back home. He just went to get his stitches out yesterday and the vet said he is doing great. He goes back in 4 weeks to get the rod removed. He's a very lucky kitty and I think he must have used up 8 of his 9 lives trying to get back home! The vet said it had been broken for some time as the muscles had contracted and she was amazed he was even able to get back home at all. If this had happened in the summer, I have no doubts that he would have died as the break and the wound would have gotten infected badly, luckily it's been rather cold still, keeping him from infection while he was outside. He's also lucky he got home when he did because last past week we've gotten about 2 FEET of snow from 2 storms!

Happy second Birthday, Daci - and a new pal soon to boot, cool!
Mike, I'm glad your Simba was able to come through that rough time. Nice to hear he's doing well.
I've got tons of more cat pictures, thanks to my daughter who is always taking them. I just don't have a whole lot of time lately to post them.

it sure can be difficult finding time to do stuff when working hard. at least the adoption process is in the works now.

Pretty kitty. I like going over to visit my Mother In Law because I get to see my Jango and Vader. It has been great living with my folks because I missed my Dog, but honestly after him I think I am strictly a cat person.

I've got a kitten, my sister brought. The kitten was orphaned when some one shot her mother. Don't have a picture to post yet, she doesn't hold still long enough.
